The opposition movement in Delhi demanding the resignation of India's Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar is continuing. After Wednesday's protest, a section of the protesters announced a bigger programme for 10 October. Sourav Das, joint convener of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), called for mobilisation across the country for a longer movement, saying it will continue even if the CEC resigns.

On Wednesday, Delhi Police stopped INDIA bloc leaders as they tried to march towards Jantar Mantar, and Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and several other opposition leaders were detained. The protesters say they are protesting voter-list manipulation and irregularities in the election process. Student organisations in the movement also backed a 6 October march by INDIA bloc MPs towards the Election Commission office.

YouTuber and political commentator Dhruv Rathee has arrived in Bengaluru from Germany in solidarity with the movement, Rathee and CJP founder Abhijit Dipak confirmed. The protesters have also submitted the required notice for the 10 October programme to Parliament Street police station.
